Artist's Profile:

Alex was born July 19, 1973 in Manila. Alex’s exposure to painting started at the tender age of 10 years old under the tutelage of Gabriel Custodio and Fernando Sena. At age 12, his first Child solo exhibit was staged in April 1986 at The City Gallery, Rizal Park. He studied Visual Communications at University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts and pursued the digital medium. After years of frantic work in the advertising and corporate world, Alex finally followed his bliss for traditional Oil and Soft Pastel painting and joined the L’Arc en Ciel Atelier lnc. group headed by Elaine O. Herbosa in Ayala Alabang last 2014 and has been painting, teaching and joining their group exhibitions.

Alex recently left L’Arc en Ciel last June 2017 to hone his painting skills further and joined with Fernando Sena’s Buenas Artes group, Let’s Paint group by Norberto Villez and the Philippine Pastel Artists group lead by Julius Legaspi. He’s been active participating in their group exhibitions, art fairs and painting sessions.

Alex is currently teaming up with Art Nebula PH to conduct series of workshop in the metro south and preparing for his solo exhibition next year.
