Jen Utleg Consumido
These days Jen has been sharing whatever knowledge and skills he has acquired through teaching and workshops.
He has also been dutifully taking part in promoting watercolor as a fine art medium as a member of the International Watercolor Society Philippines (IWSP) and the Philippine Guild of Watercolorists, Inc. (PGW).
Since 2014, he has joined exhibits and competitions, such as the "Kalinawa Indigenous Peoples' Art Exhibition and Competion” where he was declared champion in the Open Category, "Harmony Through Watercolor" 1st International Watercolor Society (IWS) India Biennale in New Delhi, "Different Strokes 2, Watercolor Magic” in Art Asia Gallery, Mandaluyong, “Sangbalikat” in Renaissance Gallery, "Sandiwa ng Sining” in Art Asia Gallery, "Kulturang Pinoy Noon at Ngayon” in the 1st IWSP/PGW National Convention, "Pagwanawanan Art Exhibition” in San Fernando, La Union, and “Transparency” and “Daloy” Two-Man Show at the Fernando B. Sena Buenas Artes Art Facility in Quezon City.
He was also invited as the guest artist recently in "My City, My SM, My Art” at SM City Cauayan, Cauayan, Isabela.
Born February 16th in Centro, Lallo, Cagayan, JEN is a self-taught artist who works in every traditional medium available, although seriously focused on watercolor painting at present. Through the years, he strived to learn and hone his visual art skills by constantly exploring and practicing every technique there is. He believes that art is a continuous process of learning, infinitely revolving and evolving.
His favorite watercolor? Schmincke, M Graham, and Sennelier--no kidding! We met him in 2016 and learned that his favorite brands for so many years, including Raphael brushes, are the brands that we carry!
